Challenge

Our customer, Innovum Technologies, is a US company engaged in regulatory management for the gaming industry, allowing for the online preparation, submission, and review of casino gaming license applications.

The customer needed a flexible component with the ability to modify workflow in-process so as not to force users to follow a single pre-defined workflow. The company investigated available out-of-the-box products and opted for Workflow Engine since no other solution matched their requirements.

Solution

Relying on Workflow Engine documentation and examples of basic implementation provided by our team, the client integrated Workflow Engine 1.5.6.2 for ASP.NET into their system with a further upgrade to 2.2.3 version.

The implementation of Workflow Engine provided the company with a tool that could be seamlessly integrated into their clients’ business environment and provided for graphical design of their clients’ workflow using pre-defined milestones.

Besides, implementing Workflow Engine, the customer received an opportunity to modify the scheme of the process at runtime, being able to fix errors or make the necessary adjustments and modifications in-process.

Besides, the customer’s solution gained support of multiple languages crucial for the customer since the company is providing its services globally.

Results

Currently, Workflow Engine is successfully used as an integrated component by compliance managers at gaming companies and gaming regulators. In future, the customer anticipates to make some parts of the workflow editor available to other users. In this case, the solution could be used by hundreds of users worldwide.

The delivered solution enabled the customer to benefit from its flexibility and core features such as HTML5 visual designer, version control, parallel workflows, compatibility, and localization.

Besides, version upgrade empowered the customer to benefit from the new features, including the possibility to create asynchronous actions and conditions.
